Cast of Characters

For this production, we are looking for a diverse cast of characters to fill the following roles:

Caractacus Potts: Male, age 30-45, baritone
Truly Scrumptious: Female, age 20-30, soprano
Jeremy Potts: Male, age 10-14, unchanged voice
Jemima Potts: Female, age 8-12, unchanged voice
Grandpa Potts: Male, age 60+, baritone
Baron Bomburst: Male, age 35-50, baritone
Baroness Bomburst: Female, age 35-50, soprano
The Childcatcher: Male, age 25-50, tenor or baritone
Toymaker: Male or female, age 30-60, spoken role with singing
Boris: Male, age 25-45, tenor or baritone
Goran: Male, age 25-45, tenor or baritone
Ensemble: Men and women, various ages and voice types

Don’t worry if you don’t fit into one of these categories – we encourage actors of all ages and experience levels to audition. We’re looking for unique individuals who bring their own special energy to the stage.

What We’re Looking For

We are searching for actors who can bring authenticity and depth to their performances. CTCC is looking for individuals who can connect with their characters on a personal level and bring their own unique experiences to the role. Additionally, strong vocal and dancing skills are a plus.

Backstage Help & Technical Support

Of course, a production isn’t complete without the help of dedicated backstage and technical volunteers. From stage crew to costume designers to lighting technicians, we need a team of passionate individuals to help bring our production to life. If you have a talent for any of these areas, we encourage you to get involved and share your skills with us.

Audition Information

Auditions will be held on January 2, 2024, at the Community Theatre of Clay County. Be sure to prepare a song and a monologue, and bring your headshot and resume. We encourage you to bring your own unique style and energy to the audition, and to be prepared to have fun and collaborate with others.

Performance Dates

The performance of our upcoming musical will be held on March 8, 9, & 10 at the Community Theatre of Clay County. Mark your calendar and make plans to attend – you won’t want to miss this exciting production!
