Annual Meeting
The date for the annual meeting has been set! Come join us on January 21st at 3pm at the theatre! Hear reports from the officers and the committee chairs about the work being done in the building and our community! Vote for the board members for 2024! Contribute to the running of the organization by joining a number of committees or volunteering for one of the teams it takes to make this place run.
Membership Letter
Be on the lookout for the membership letter which will outline our new endowment program and how you can contribute and get your donation matched dollar for dollar (up to $1,000)!
41st Season!
The Artistic Direction committee has selected the shows for the next season once the rights have been secured we will announce them publicly. It is a great slate of shows!
Have a Holly Jolly Variety Show Tickets!
The Christmas show is fast approaching! Tickets for “Have a Holly Jolly Variety Show” have been moving quickly. If you haven’t purchased yours yet… hurry! Nearly all the dinner tickets are gone and the matinee tickets are moving briskly. ctcc.ludus.com. As of the writing of this article, only 4 dinner theatre tickets remain!
Building Projects
We have some projects which will be getting underway in the near future. The basement will finally be getting the work it desperately needs thanks to the City of Brazil and a grant from the Wabash Valley Community Foundation. Repairs to the façade of the building will also begin within the next few weeks thanks to some funding provided by a number of sources (Rotary, Clay County Commissioners).
Budget and By-Laws
The board is preparing the yearly budget to be presented at the annual meeting and approved by the next iteration of the board of directors. The Bylaws review committee has been working to make improvements to our governing documents which will be presented to the membership for approval. You can see our current bylaws here.
Upcoming Events/Opportunities to Help!
Christmas show prep: the week of the show! (11/27-11/30) there will be lots of small tasks to complete including restocking sugar caddies, salt and pepper shakers, rolling silverware, and setting the dining room, final decorations for the non performance space. Please call the theatre at (856)-843-5275 if you’d like to volunteer!
Christmas Show! 12/1, 2, 3 – get your ticket and come see the show! Volunteer your time to help on a day that you don’t have tickets!
Hometown Christmas! We will again be opening our doors during the Hometown Christmas event in downtown Brazil this year. Pop in to see us on Saturday November 25 from 2-6pm! You can get more information on the Brazil Main Street Facebook page by clicking this link!
